Offensive Player

This is where I will post the PhinSpot Offensive Player of the week. And at the end of the year I will post the PhinSpot Offensive player of the year. (According to me of course) you can tell me if im right worng or even if you don’t care. No Jets bashing here please 🙂

2009 PhinSpot offensive Player of the Year:

Chad Henne

Chad Henne

Chad Henne| #7 | QB

Comp Att Comp % Yds TD Int Sck FUM
274 451 60.8 2,878 12 14 26 4

I know I’m going to get a lot of crap for this but I think Chad Henne was one of the most outstanding players on this offense. He stepped up in week 4 filling in for an injured Chad Pennington. This was his first year starting and he had a big impact on this team. A lot bigger of an impact then most people will admit. He is a franchise QB and this team will be built around this guy. He’s got a bullet of an arm and he’s got the intangibles. I hope he is around for many many years to come. Runners up: Ronnie Brown, Ricky Williams, Jake Long

2009 PhinSpot Offensive Rookie of the Year:

Brian Hartline

Brian Hartline

Brian Hartline| #82| WR

31 506 16.3 2,878 3

Brian Hartline emerged at the end of the season making some big plays. Even though he started only 2 games he had more receiving yards than our star wide out Ted Ginn (454). Even considerinng Ginn had 7 more receptions. Brian Hartline shows all the signs of a great WR. He even racked up 3 TD’s. One of which was a 10 yd rushing TD against the Stealers. He’s got speed AND he can actualy catch a ball. He is truly a clutch player making the right plays at the right time.
